Description
Alexander’s six teachings, originally presented to pastors and leaders, covers the basic content of his book Doing Church. He lays out, step by step, how to develop a philosophy of ministry and leadership, using three key frameworks through which we ought to view and do church: The Theological Framework of the Kingdom of God defines church (talk one); The Sociological Framework contrasts three models of how communities organise themselves (applied to church, talk two); The Ministry Framework shows how to ‘build from the bottom up’—how to define the overall purpose, clarify the foundational values, establish the essential priorities, model the regular practices, choose the right personnel, and implement the relevant programs (talks three to six)
